With its 200th Installation, Chromira Continues to Help Labs Go Digital
June 3, 2003 - Carpinteria, CA / Greensville, SC, USA - ZBE,
Incorporated announced that the 200th installation of its Chromira LED
digital photographic printer was recently completed. The installation
site was at Tru-Color Lab in Greenville, South Carolina.
Tru-Color's Chromira purchase represents the lab's initial foray into
digital imaging. A traditional photo lab since its inception, Tru-Color's
Rick Shirley remarked that with more requests for digital work, "business
[was] going that way", so it made sense for the lab to move in
the same direction. Tru-Color is just one of the many labs to use the
Chromira as a jumping point to get into the digital imaging arena. With
its hybrid LED capabilities and intuitive user software, Chromira has
made state-of-the-art large format digital photographic imaging an affordable
and reliable option for labs worldwide.
Tru-Color Lab was founded in 1985, by two photographers who wanted
to provide the kind of quality work they felt couldn't be found elsewhere.
In 1989, the lab came into the hands of Rick Shirley and Bill Sentell,
Tru-Color's current owners. Having begun as a portrait lab, Tru-Color
has expanded to work with schools, as well. They continue to provide
quality work to their customers, and while still providing fine traditional
printing and processing, they can now claim digital scanning, manipulating
and printing as a part of their repertoire.
ZBE, Incorporated is headquartered in Carpinteria, CA, USA and has
been serving professional imaging needs since 1980, continuing to provide
the photo industry with innovative and affordable high-quality products.
