ZBE and Grand Stores of the UAE Come to Distribution Agreement

December 18, 2003 - Carpinteria, CA, USA: ZBE, Incorporated, a leader in wide-format LED digital imaging, has announced a distribution alliance with Grand Stores LLC in the United Arab Emirates. Grand Stores will market, sell, install, and service ZBE’s digital imaging products to professional photo labs in the markets of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain. These include the Chromira wide-format digital RA4 printers, and in the next year, the Chromira5x printers, which have five times the printing speed of the originals, but with the same print quality, reliability, and productivity.

The affordable, state-of-the-art Chromira 30 and Chromira 50 printers are the result of ZBE’s hybrid LED imaging technology and produce high resolution continuous digital photographic prints. The Chromira printing system applies ZBE’s highly efficient on-the-fly imaging methodology, which images on photographic media while simultaneously processing the digital image data. This proprietary system produces Chromira’s extraordinary on-the-fly workflow productivity.

All user selectable features are applied on-the-fly and are available to every computer on the local area network via Chromira Workstation software. Important features include Automatic Print Nesting, ICC Profiling, Sharpening, Global Color Manipulation, and Real Time File Interpolation. The Chromira printers are designed to print unattended and interface with the Chromira Trim and ChromiraTrim XYs, automatic print finishing systems available in sizes to complement the 30” and the 50” Chromiras.
