INSTALLATION OF TOP WALL-MOUNTING BRACKET FOR SENTINEL ENLARGER

  1. Secure a suitable mounting board to your wall. A two-foot-long piece of 2x8 lumber secured to two studs is recommended. In the case of a floor-standing Sentinel, however, a lighter-duty arrangement will suffice.

  2. Attach the two pieces of the Wall-Mounting Bracket together. The Wall-Mount Box attaches to the Plate via the two large studs on the Plate. Place the Box onto the plate, positioning the two slots in the Box over the large studs. Observe the correct orientation when doing this: No part of the Box should over-hang any edge of the plate when the two are assembled correctly. Use the two washers and nus provided to secure the Box and Plate together. At this time only make these nuts only finger tight.

  3. With the Sentinel in position near the wall, place the assembled bracket over the top of the column, roughly aligning the slotted holes in each side of the box with the holes in the Sentinel's column. Do this in order to determine the correct position at which to secure the plate to the piece of wood in the wall.

Once the proper position is determined, such that the slotted holes in the sides of the Box will align with the holes in the Sentinel's column, secure the Wall Mounting Assembly to the wood using six large wood screws or lag bolts.

  4. Move the Sentinel into it's final position on the floor of the darkroom. Make fine adjustments to it's position, so that the Holes in the box are in position over the holes on the Sentinel's column. Insert one screw (provided) into the hole on each side of the Column, securing the Wall Mounting Bracket to the Sentinel's column. Tighten these screws once final position is achieved.

The top of the Sentinel's column is now secured, adding rigidity to the floor-standing machine.
